He Has Been Good to Me

Cheers to my first full day of summer break! There aren't many things I love more.

Today, Julie Andrews-style, I'm sharing a few of my favorite things. This is a list I made back in October, during a bus ride through Greece where I was so miserable I had to find something to do to keep myself from crying. That story can come later, maybe. For now I want to rest in my gratitude. Even in my darkest days, I can trust in Jesus' UNFAILING love, rejoice in His salvation. He has been good to me.

"How long, O LORD? Will you forget me forever? How long will you hide your face from me? How long must I wrestle with my thoughts and every day have sorrow in my heart? How long will my enemy triumph over me? Look on me and answer, O LORD my God. Give light to my eyes, or I will sleep in death; my enemy will say, "I have overcome him," and my foes will rejoice when I fall. But I trust in your unfailing love; my heart rejoices in your salvation. I will sing to the LORD, for he has been good to me" (Psalm 13, NIV, emphasis added).

So here they are, in no particular order. A few of my favorite things...
